Auburn's Trees Set Ablaze after Win over LSU
By Tully Corcoran

Noted tree poisoner Harvey Updyke was released from jail three years ago, but there is no evidence he had anything to do with what happened to Toomer’s oaks on Saturday night, when one of them went up in flames.

These are not the same trees Updyke poisoned in 2010. Those died and were replaced by the trees you see in the video above. A suspect has been arrested, according to WTVM-13 in Birmingham, Ala.
Fans were celebrating Auburn’s wild 18-13 win over LSU in the traditional way — lobbing rolls of toilet paper into the trees at Toomer’s corner.
Then, it appears, someone walked by and lit that toilet paper.

Leave these poor trees alone.
