The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am starts on Thursday and will be the first tournament world number one Jordan Spieth plays in the continental United States this season. Spieth already won the Tournament of Champions in Hawaii and has finished no lower than 7th in any of the six tournaments he’s played in this year. A short break after a grueling world tour should have done Spieth some good. He is easily the favorite to win in Vegas, but there’s a couple of guys who’re definitely playing well enough to keep him from winning.

One of those guys is defending champ, Brandt Snedeker. While Snedeker didn’t fair too well at the Waste Management Phoenix Open, he had finished third, second, and first in the three tournaments he played before heading to TPC Scottsdale. So, watch out for Sneds because he’s already got two wins here under his belt.

My pick

I’d be crazy not to pick Jordan Spieth here right? Ok, glad we’re all in agreement, Spieth it is. I could see Snedeker taking this one as well.
