Anthony Davis was hurt Wednesday night during the Nuggets – Pelicans game. During the 3rd quarter, Davis, an MVP candidate and the Pelicans’ leading scorer, rebounder, shot-blocker, and ball-stealer, landed awkwardly after a mid-air collision with Team USA teammate Kenneth Faried. Davis appeared to twist his knee, but was holding his groin so who knows what exactly he hurt.

Davis also appeared to take a shot to the head. He was helped off the court by trainers and didn’t return until the 4th quarter. Early word is that he injured his groin, but he is trying to play through the injury. Losing Davis for any amount of time would be a killer for the Pelicans who are currently a game and a half out of the 8th seed in the Western Conference.
