Angel Di Maria Scored His First Manchester United Goal on a Sneaky Free Kick

Angel Di Maria, the most expensive transfer in English soccer history, opened his Manchester United scoring account Sunday vs. QPR with, let’s say, an interestingly-taken free kick. The Argentine star curled in a kick from the right side that floated over everyone and bounced into the bottom left corner past a flat-footed Robert Green. Obviously just like he drew it up … maybe?

Whatever the fee United paid, Di Maria is in a great vein of form at the moment and should quickly become the Red Devils’ most influential player. As we saw during the international break, Di Maria’s becoming lethal on set pieces and should take them at Old Trafford until further notice (or when the angle isn’t there for his golden left foot.)
