Albert Pujols Gets Wheaties Honor After Series Win

Puljos is on the cover of a Fuel limited-edition commemorative package following the St. Louis Cardinals’ seven-game win over the Texas Rangers.

According to Wheaties, a division of General Mills, “The limited-edition Albert Pujols Wheaties Fuel box will be available exclusively in St. Louis at just six grocery stores. The box can be purchased, while supplies last, at select retailers.” (Full details here.)

Pujols previously was honored on the original Wheaties box in 2005, and is one of five athletes who helped co-create Wheaties Fuel.

Pujols’ had an historic Game Three performance in which he hit three home runs and had six RBIs en route to his team’s 16-7 victory.

Wheaties’ Fuel has been supporting Pujols during the World Series on Facebook and Twitter, where the company donated $1 for each original post or tweet to the Pujols Family Foundation, up to $10,000. The Foundation supports kids with Down syndrome.

“The passion from our fans here and across the country has helped us get one step away from our goal of winning a championship,” Pujols said in a statement. “Wheaties Fuel is giving our fans a chance to continue their support for both our team on the field and those in need off the field through my Foundation.”
