Aaron Craft Signs 1-Year Contract with Golden State Warriors

Aaron Craft, everybody’s favorite pesky defensive menace from Ohio State, has inked a 1-year, partially guaranteed contract with the Golden State Warriors. Craft, the two-time Big 10 defensive player of the year, was last seen laying on the floor in March, frozen at the fact that Ohio State had just been upset by Dayton in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

It seems new Golden State coach Steve Kerr is a fan. Craft somehow went undrafted in June, and then was scooped up by the 76ers to join their summer league team in Orlando. After that, the Warriors took a chance, adding him to their team in Vegas.

And then, the real news hit – Nemanja Nedovic, Golden State’s 23-year old guard from Yugoslavia, suffered a foot injury recently. It sounds like it could be serious, as in, maybe missing the start of the season. Nedovic appeared in 24 games last year, and Craft is insurance.

Maybe Nedovic’s injury isn’t serious, and he’s 100% by Halloween and Craft becomes expendable. Or … perhaps the injury is serious, Craft gets his shot with the team and … man, I’d love to watch practice with Craft tormenting Stephen Curry in the backcourt.
