2011 NLDS: Zack Greinke's Playoff Debut

Greinke sounds like he has it in the proper perspective and you can probably pencil him in for one who doesn’t fall into all the hype:

“It’s still just getting ready for a game and just try to make your pitches and things should work good if you just do that … I don’t think I even noticed I pitched any better here than on the road until maybe a month ago when people were making a big deal out of it. It just kind of happened.”

Nyjer Morgan he is not, but that’s why the Brewers have Nyjer Morgan. Nyjer actually found himself too jacked up yesterday, and that’s fine, but what I found strange was what Prince Fielder revealed about his approach back in the 2008 playoffs, the last time the Brewers made the postseason:

“In ’08, in my mind, it was a one-game playoff every day. I felt if we lost, the series was over every time, (Saturday) I was just, like I said, enjoy it. We’ve got a five-game series.”

Losing one game and the series is over? Damn. It’s a crying shame guys like Prince Fielder weren’t part of the 2004 Red Sox.
