I swear I’m not doing this on purpose, but does anyone realistically give the Cardinals a chance of winning this game on the road with Doc on the bump? If Halladay goes less than seven innings I will be flat-out stunned. I expect Carpenter to be better than his last outing only because it would be extremely difficult for him to be worse. But dream pitching match-up? Come on now, let’s try and keep our pants on.
I will say this: If there’s any kind of squirrel sighting tonight in Philadelphia, and that includes Ken Rosensquirrel, all bets are absolutely off.
