1992 Marvel WCW Comic Book Features Sting, Lex Luger, Jim Ross, Paul Heyman, and Steiner Bros

A user from the estimable r/SquaredCircle uploaded this first issue of the Marvel WCW comic book (a 12-issue series in 1992-1993), and it’s absolutely incredible. The premise of the story is a battle royal, announced by Jim Ross and Paul E. Dangerously (Heyman), where the winner gets a title shot at the then- odious and vain Lex Luger. It’s got it all.

The best part is that it captures the JR commentary. At the beginning, he takes cracks at Heyman’s thinning hair line. And at the end, after Luger’s inevitable ambush of no. 1 contender Ron Simmons: “I can’t look! THIS IS DISGUSTING! … I DON’T KNOW IF RON SIMMONS WILL EVER WALK AGAIN.”
