The NBA is Back Tonight, and Here’s Kyrie Irving vs. Brandon Knight to Celebrate
The All-Star break is over, everyone got their best dunks out of their system, and the second half begins tonight with a solid NBA slate, highlighted by Boston at Denver and Golden State at Utah.
All are playoff teams, and three of them – Boston, Golden State and Utah – are rumored to be dealers with the trade deadline approaching.
Do the Celtics trade KG or Pierce? Or both? The slumping Warriors sure could use an experienced big man to help out perpetually-injured Andrew Bogut. Utah has a lot of expiring contracts, and could look to move a big-man (or two).
Atlanta’s Josh Smith, perhaps the most sought-after player this week (assuming the Lakers are holding firm on not trading Dwight Howard), could have his swan song in the ATL tomorrow against the Heat.
While you get excited for the games, here’s one of the highlights from All-Star weekend: Kyrie Irving and Brandon Knight going one-on-one for about two minutes in the Rising Stars Challenge Friday night.

Was there a Jerry Buss port today?

NBC is showing a report about Russian dash cams and the reason why they use them. It is just a little camera stuck to the windshield and then attached to a smartphone. Russia is not a place I’d care to live.

I didn’t know he had his own label. I bet it’s dry with hints of cigar and has a bouquet of cheerleader pussy.

I have a bottle of this tequila loaded awaiting word that the Suns made a terrible trade for him and signed him to a max deal.

Jesus, I’ve been out of the loop. He died yesterday morning? I just heard about it at lunch time today

Torn, I want the lakers to trade d12 because he’s a shitty dbag who doesn’t even try, but if they keep him Kobe and old man Nash may bash his head in.

Josh smith deserves a max contract as much as The Bulldog deserves to be unbanned

Well, in spite of his MVP level performance this year*, I’d say Nash is the much bigger albatross for the Lakers in spite of Howard’s lack of production for them.
* based on prior Steve Nash MVP seasons

Celtics-Lakers is on TV right now. It just so happens to be the 85 Finals on ESPN Classic, but still……….

While Nash’s contract is no better for the long term, there’s nothing anyone can say at this point that will make me believe that Howard is playing up to his full capabilities, even if hurt, and that 30 million more then other teams can offer will convince him that playing with Kobe next year is something he wants to do. You’d get more for him now then you will in an eventual sign and trade that is coming this offseason.
