DeMarcus Cousins Suspended Indefinitely by the Sacramento Kings
The Sacramento Kings have suspended DeMarcus Cousins indefinitely, the team announced. Cousins was benched at halftime of last night’s game against the Clippers by head coach Keith Smart, after a halftime argument between the coach and volatile player.
After the game, Cousins apologized without going into details:
“What happens in the locker room stays in the locker room but I was wrong. But what happens in the locker room stays in the locker room.”
“Don’t talk back. That’s the thing. I shouldn’t have responded back. Should have accepted what was said and stayed quiet. I messed up. I’m apologizing to all my teammates for it, for responding the way I did, and we’ll move on from it…I grow from all of my mistakes.”

Some 3-way trade; Tristan Thompson & Percy Jones (OKC) to SAC (and their old #1 from the Hickson deal; Varajeo to OKC; Lamb, Cousins and #1 to CLE

still surprised that Sac-do hasn’t dealt this clown. obivious that it will never work there.

Would anyone take him at this point? Would have to have a bunch of strong leaders on the team to consider it.

Yes. He has the talent to become a dominant center. People like that get several chances

That explains his being 6’10″

True. But he doesn’t want to play for a sub-.500 team. That is pretty clear. So which of the contenders/ potential contenders would want to give up alot to get him.

KG had a hell of an impact on Perkins. He could turn Cousins into a machine.

I doubt any good teams would trade for him. He’s going to have to deal with losing, but a more structured/stable team than Sacramento would be beneficial

he’ll just get more coaches fired until he plays out his rookie deal, some dumb team will pay him well, like 9 x 4, then he will kill a few more coaches;

The real tragedy of all this is that I bet whatever the argument was, if it involved basketball, Cousins was probably right

From Cousins quotes, he seems thoughtful and self-aware, yet entirely crazy at the same time. He’s got some Mike Tyson in him

That was pretty funny.

He’s one of the players that Daryl Morey has made several attempts to obtain. I wouldn’t be surprised if he tries again, even with the big money they have committed to Asik.
