Bubba Watson Wins the Masters On Second Playoff Hole Against Louis Oosthuizen
Bubba Watson — the people’s champion, the man in white with the pink driver in tow — has won the Masters with a brilliant back nine and some amazing saving shots, including one that will go down in Masters lore on the second hole of a playoff.
Louis Oosthuizen scored an albatross on the second hole, got to -10 early on Sunday, and looked to be on his way to the green jacket. Then Bubba Watson put on a back nine charge, with birdies on 14, 15, and 16. It all looked for naught on 17 when he drove it in the woods, but Watson hit a great foreshadowing shot through the opening down the chute of trees to get back on the green. Both went to a playoff at 10 under.
On the first hole of the playoff, Watson missed a putt that would have won it. He drove the next one, on the 10th, into the woods again, but then hit the brilliant hook shot from the trees that rolled on the green and set up the green jacket.

Bubba is such a headcase. Undeniable ability, though.

Great finish between these 2 players, I didn’t have a dog in this fight, but wither one was worthy of it. Oosthuizen near miss on 18th in the playoff was too bad, since he had a nice shot into the green, as well as Bubba. Congrats Bubba on a great win.

Golf has a feel good story with this win. I loved seeing all his buddies on the green congratulating him like Fowler and Crane. Awesome win

So happy for Bubba. One hell of a shot. If not Phil or Kooch, I’m glad it was Bubba. Well deserved. Truly one of the most memorable finishes for me.

I’m a casual golf fan but the last few holes and the two playoff holes were great. I almost fell out of my chair when they both missed the birdie putts on 18. Incredible end to the tournament. Suck it, Eldrick
