SEC college football fans might have a reason to be thankful for President Donald Trump‘s massive inconvenience at Tennessee’s Week 4 showdown with Texas.
President Trump is slated to attend the monster SEC clash with No. 14 Tennessee and No. 1 Texas holding 3-0 records. However, the American president’s presence does mean longer security lines than normal for those attending the game at Neyland Stadium.
It appears there’s at least one big-time perk for attendees, though, despite Trump’s chaotic appearance. The Volunteers revealed that fans can receive half-priced concessions, including beer, from 9-10 a.m. ET Saturday, per Tennessee Football on X.
Kickoff is slated for noon ET as the two ranked opponents compete in Knoxville. It’s unclear when the 45th and 47th U.S. president will arrive at the game or how long he intends to stay.

Trump’s attendance has at least one perk

It’s expected to be a hectic weekend of sports travel for Trump. He reportedly plans to attend Tennessee-Texas and the final round of golf’s Presidents Cup on Sunday near Chicago.
Meanwhile, it’s the fans who often have to endure crazy security checks with Secret Service agents present. The 80-year-old frequently attends major sporting events like UFC fights and other college football games.
Last season, Trump showed up to the College Football Playoff National Championship Game when Indiana beat Miami, 27-21, to win the title. Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian even alleged that Trump’s presence may have affected the outcome of the game due to stadium communications issues.
Rumors swirled this week about Trump potentially appeared on ESPN’s “College GameDay” considering his relationship with panelists Pat McAfee and Nick Saban. However, Johnny Knoxville’s been named the show’s Week 4 celebrity guest picker.
