Week 3 of the NFL season is officially in the books, and all 16 AFC teams have given us plenty to evaluate after an action-packed week. Some were great, some were terrible, and some were smack dab in the middle. Here’s the Week 3 report card for every AFC team and how they graded.

AFC East

Buffalo Bills: B+

This game almost got away from the Buffalo Bills, but the Bills held on and got the win versus the Chargers in a close battle.

 New England Patriots: D-

The Patriots have a problem, and it is beating good teams. Last year, they had a cakewalk schedule, and now the team is facing consequences as they are unable to beat teams with elite talent. Drake Maye also had another bad game.

New York Jets: B+

The Jets may have lost this one, but the team is getting better and making improvements. Geno Smith and the offense put up 24 points against a Lions team that is banged up, but normally the Jets aren’t making games this close. Kenyon Sadiq is a promising star for this offense too.

Miami Dolphins: C-

The Dolphins lost Devon Achane, and the team is going to have a tough time scoring if Achane misses time. The team played against a good Chiefs team, and the Dolphins suffered another loss.

AFC West

Kansas City Chiefs: A

The Chiefs are back to taking care of business against bad teams and dominating. Kenneth Walker had another strong performance, and the team continues to get good production out of Travis Kelce as well.

Denver Broncos: B+

An impressive win over a strong Rams team. Sean Payton should take over playcalling if this offense wants to improve. Good win on primetime for Denver.

Los Angeles Chargers: C-

The Chargers are 0-3. Their upcoming schedule does not favor them in any games. This season has already gone south, and Jim Harbaugh’s seat is starting to heat up if they don’t start winning football games.

Las Vegas Raiders: A

The Raiders are 3-0 and are at the top of this division. Klint Kubiak is in the conversation for the best coach this season and has this team dialed in. Kirk Cousins and the Raiders are 3-0 in 2026.

AFC South

Houston Texans: C-

The Texans’ season is off to a rough start as they lose this one to the Colts. Maybe it was a good thing they didn’t extend CJ Stroud? 0-3 for Demeco Ryans for a second straight season.

Jacksonville Jaguars: A+

The Jaguars made the Patriots look like a below-average team, and Liam Cohen dominated this game from a coaching point. The Patriots are bad, and the Jaguars are an elite contender thus far.

Indianapolis Colts: B+

The Colts won a division game against the Texans, and this is a big win for them. Beating teams in your division early on is key.

Tennessee Titans: D+

Cam Ward wasn’t great, and the playcalling from Brian Daboll is starting to get concerning. The offense went for a while without completing a first down. Panic time for the offense? I would think so.

AFC North

NFL: Baltimore Ravens at Indianapolis Colts

Baltimore Ravens: A-

This was a vintage win for the Ravens. Some were getting flashbacks with Tyler Loop kicking in a big spot, but he connected a 56-yard field goal to get a win in Brazil versus the Cowboys.

Cincinnati Bengals: B-

The offense played really well, and they played a tight game versus the Steelers. Unfortunately, this was a strong game from Aaron Rodgers

Pittsburgh Steelers: B+

Aaron Rodgers just balled out in 2026. Wow. What a performance for the Steelers in what was a must-win game for them.

Cleveland Browns: A

The Browns improved to 2-1 on the season. They are starting to turn some heads, and Deshaun Watson is starting to look better. Harold Fannin Jr. had a monster game. Beating the Panthers is an impressive win for this Cleveland squad.
