The Los Angeles Rams came up just short in their Sunday Night Football game against the Denver Broncos lastweek.

The Broncos completed a game-winning drive in the fourth quarter to win 30-26, dropping the Rams’ record to 1-2. Matthew Stafford finished the game with 390 passing yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions.

His two scoring throws have put him on the cusp of a rare achievement in NFL history. He spent 12 seasons with the Lions and finished his tenure with 282 TD passes.

Stafford has now been with the Rams for six seasons and already has 147 touchdown passes. If he gets three more, he’ll become the first player in NFL history to throw 150+ touchdown passes for two different teams.

When can Stafford achieve this?

Stafford could set a new standard this Sunday on the road against the Philadelphia Eagles. He needs three touchdown passes to do it.

If he doesn’t get there on Sunday, his next chance will be on Oct. 12 against the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football.

Kickoff for this Sunday’s Rams-Eagles game will be at 1 p.m. ET on Fox.
