Yankee Stadium at First Pitch of the AL Wild Card Game is ... Well ... Not Full
By Rob Perez

What the heck is going on in the Bronx? It’s no secret that the New York Yankees struggled with getting fans to show up to games this season, just simply type “Yankee Stadium Empty” into Google…
Or check out this article via the New York Post highlighting the Yankees’ attendance issues…
Well, tonight, the Bronx Bombers are hosting the Houston Astros in the American League’s 2015 Wild Card Game — and the stadium … once again … is empty at first pitch.
It does appear, however, that a very large amount of fans are currently in queue outside the stadium waiting to clear security — wait times upwards of “90 minutes”…

so, maybe the stands will fill up a bit as the game progresses … but still: I think I speak for all Yankees die-hards when I say that attendance was/still is a huge problem and is more embarrassing than anything for a very proud and successful professional baseball franchise.
What’s the cause of this? Is it the ridiculous Yankee Stadium ticket/concession/parking prices? Does the new stadium not have the same intrigue as the old one? Do fans just not care about this year’s team? I genuinely don’t know, so, I’m curious to hear what ya’ll think…
