Robin Van Persie scored a hat trick in Manchester United’s 3-2 win over Southampton. This is fortunate, since it redeemed this embarrassing penalty miss with the club 2-1 down. The Dutchman attempted a panenka penalty, deployed masterfully by Andrea Pirlo at Euro 2012. It did not go so well.
