Duke’s Grayson Allen is quite possibly the most hated player in the NCAA Tournament. He checks off all the usual boxes that make America despise a Blue Devil. Plus he has a nasty habit of intentionally tripping people.
It took just over three minutes for Allen to be involved in another possible tripping episode against Yale. His leg made contact with a driving Makai Mason and sent the viral sensation sprawling to the floor. If it were any other player on defense, this blog post wouldn’t have been written. But Allen hasn’t exactly earned the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps I’m seeing things but it does look like his leg hovers for an extra fraction of a second before coming down.
Also, Allen has 22 points right now before halftime so he’s inflicting pain on the scoreboard as well.
