VCU Band Covers Wrecking Ball, Debuts Space Kitten Free Throw Distraction

VCU has one of the best home court atmospheres in all of college basketball. On Thursday night, the Rams beat George Mason in the Stuart Siegel Center and the VCU band covered Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball.” The cherry on top of the performance was the debut of “Space Kitten.” You may remember Space Kitten from Miley’s American Music Awards performance last year. Space Kitten was then used throughout the game to distract free throw shooters. George Mason proceeded to miss 7 of their 16 free throws.
