Thon Maker, a 7' 1" High School Sophomore, Already Has a Handle and Jumper

Stephen Douglas

Thon Maker stands 7-feet, one-inch tall (ESPN has him at 7-feet even) and is just a sophomore in high school. He’s the #1 ranked player in the class of 2016 and already has offers from Arizona, Georgetown, Miami and Virginia. Video of Maker is kind of insane. He looks like a cross between Kevin Durant and Kevin Garnett. What’s most amazing is that Maker’s highlight video shows him playing against other man-sized players. It will be interesting to see his game continue to mature as he gets older and moves on to the next level(s).
