The Miami Marlins Have Reportedly Offered Albert Pujols 9 Years and $225 million

By Tim Ryan

According to Tim Brown of Yahoo Sports, the Miami Marlins would like to furnish their shiny new stadium with former Cardinals worldly first baseman Albert Pujols, and have apparently offered the tighty-whities wearing slugger a 9 year, $225 million contract. The big bucks would still fall short of making him the highest paid player in the game, but the possibility of Jose Reyes, Pujols and Hanley Ramirez residing in the same lineup to go along with Logan Morrison’s humorous tweets and Ozzie Guillen’s unintentionally hilarious tweets sure sounds like fun and, more importantly, easy to root against.

More to come as we hear it.
