Taylor University's Silent Night Tradition Is Amazing

Stephen Douglas

This is one of the greatest things I have ever seen. Taylor University, a small liberal arts college in Indiana has an incredibly cool tradition every year on the Friday before finals begin. On “Silent Night” Taylor students pack the gym, but don’t make a noise until the home team scores their 10th point of the game. Students wear increasingly weird outfits and the evening ends with the gym swaying, arm-in-arm, signing Silent Night.

I’ve watched these videos 10 times each and every time I get goosebumps when the crowd goes bananas. It just goes to show you that you don’t need to go to a big school to love your team in an insane manner. This atmosphere is out of control and awesome.
