The two best basketball players in America now have a championship together.

The Los Angeles Lakers won the 2020 NBA title late Friday night, defeating the Miami Heat, [insert final score]. LeBron James' latest championship brings the Lakers total number of NBA Championships to 17 or 12, depending on who you ask.

LeBron was named MVP, finishing the clinching game with [a collection of points, rebounds and assists very close to a triple-double]. Anthony Davis and [a player Heat fans will complain about playing well] pitched in with [a decent number of points and/or rebounds].

With the win, LeBron James now has four NBA titles and four Finals MVP awards. Maybe none as impressive as the one he earned inside the NBA's Disney Bubble. It may not be the most-watched NBA championship ever, but there is not a single person who won't remember who won the championship in 2020 during a pandemic with plenty of other distractions.

Please do not publish this until it has been updated with the final numbers. We don't need a Deadline / Mike Pence situation on our hands. It would be super embarrassing.
