Nelly was a guest on DLHQ today, and eventually talk turned to Floyd Mayweather — the rapper and boxer have feuded a bit through TMZ and Instagram in recent months — and Le Batard asked about their purported beef. “I don’t have a beef with Floyd Mayweather,” Nelly said matter-of-factly. “I think, for the most part, the whole thing is misunderstood. I try to understand things from his side, which is a little bit hard to do. It’s just one of those things where I guess he is who he is.”

“He’s one of those people who I don’t think likes hearing the word ‘No’ said to him,” Nelly continued. “I think if anybody does that, that’s what gets underneath his skin a little bit. But, I don’t know, it’s kind of hard talking to a guy who hasn’t graduated from high school.”

This doesn’t seem like the final word; anyways, make sure stick around to the end of the video for Papi’s rendition of “Country Grammar”.
