Mike Garafolo Leaving Fox Sports for NFL Network

Mike Garafolo is leaving Fox Sports for NFL Network, The Big Lead has learned. Garafolo joined Fox from USA Today in 2013, and is expected to continue as a reporter both online and in television in his new role. He will remain based in the I-95 corridor, but is also expected to be involved with national coverage, as well as a revamped morning show. He declined to comment for this story.

It is not presently known whether or not there will be a replacement for exactly what Garafolo was doing at Fox. They still have Jay Glazer and Peter Schrager reporting on the nuts and bolts of the league, but Jamie Horowitz has been transparent about his desire to put the network’s resources into opinion and personality as opposed to news.
