LeBron James Hated in Israel after Blatt Firing; Instagram Account is Being Bombed With Comments

LeBron James is quite unpopular in Israel, according to this Cleveland.com piece, in the aftermath of David Blatt’s firing last Friday. David Blatt, an Israeli citizen and highly popular coach of Maccabi Tel-Aviv before joining the Cavaliers, has inspired some hatred in response to his sudden removal.
Via Agence France-Presse, sports journalist Sharon Davidovich described LeBron James as now the most hated man in Israel. “It’s a little bit joking and a little bit true: These days I can only compare the Israeli hate for LeBron James to the hate for Hamas,” said Davidovich. Yahoo says that one Israeli newspaper (no doubt the New York Post of Jerusalem) went with the headline “Goliath eliminates David” after Blatt was fired.
LeBron’s Instagram messages are now being bombed with comments in Hebrew (apologies if any of those are NSFW)
According to one player over there playing professionally, the Cavaliers have disappeared from the television.
Israeli TV won't put the Cavs games on now since Blatt got fired and now everyone hates Lebron. Really messing with my Bron viewing.

Apparently, no one sent the nation of Israel the memo that LeBron James was not consulted on the Blatt firing, as Brian Windhorst told us.
