Keith Appling, Former Michigan State Basketball Player, Arrested at Strip Club with AK-47

Former Michigan State player Keith Appling, he played 5 games in the NBA this year with the Orlando Magic, was reportedly arrested, according to Justin Rose of WXYZ.com.
Bad news for former Spartan Keith Appling. Sources tell us he was arrested over the weekend in Dearborn at a strip club with a loaded AK-47.

A loaded AK-47 would seem to be something that might lead to a lot of trouble if true. According to Rose, his sources indicated that police are still investigating what Appling was doing with the gun.
[UPDATE: ABC in Detroit reports that it was the Pantheion Club, and you don’t want to look up their Instagram page.]
Appling is the third former Spartan player to be in the news this past year for an arrest. Branden Dawson was arrested in March on suspicion of spousal abuse; Mateen Cleaves faces sexual assault charges.
