Jameis Winston Cited for Shoplifting Crab Legs [UPDATE]

Jameis Winston, the Florida State quarterback and last season’s Heisman Trophy winner, was issued a misdemeanor citation for stealing crab legs from the grocery store Publix, according to Tomahawk Nation. We will update this story as more information becomes available.
[UPDATE: A spokesman for the Tallahassee police department says Winston has not been arrested and there is no booking of any sort in the system. A citation would not result in an arrest, obviously.]
[UPDATE II: While the college football world waits for the police department to release the record of the citation, the Leon County Sheriff’s Department has announced a 2 pm news conference to discuss the matter.]
[UPDATE III: Florida State has announced that Winston is suspended from the baseball team.]
[UPDATE IV: Winston stole $32.72 worth of seafood from the Publix, and received a civil citation and must complete 20 hours of community service.]
