German Newspaper: "Sorry Mexico, Today We Build the Wall"

By Tully Corcoran

The Germans, known for their sense of humor and general good cheer, have a message for Mexicans ahead of today’s World Cup matchup between the two that is pure political trolling.

The most amusing part of the design is the speech bubble coming from the keeper, which Google translates to, “But we promise to rub it in again after the final whistle.”

Die Welt is thought of as a conservative newspaper ,which in 2008 was banned in Egypt for a cartoon depiction of the Prophet Mohammad.
