Georgia State Coach Ron Hunter Injured Himself Celebrating NCAA Tournament Berth

Ron Hunter, the head coach of Georgia State, sustained a leg injury while jumping around celebrating his team’s 38-36 victory over Georgia Southern to win the Sun Belt tournament. According to Doug Roberson of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Hunter tore his Achilles. One wonders if, before the game, he had been presented with the choice to win and have that happen, whether or not he would have accepted.
Coach Hunter got a little too rowdy during the celebration. We're told his status is day-to-day.
