Frank Kaminsky's Bat Flip Needs Some Work

By Mike Cardillo

Frank Kaminsky is from Illinois and his favorite baseball team is the Chicago White Sox, not the Cubs. Per ESPN the former Wisconsin standout and recent Charlotte Hornets lottery pick used to have weekend tickets to Comiskey Park U.S. Cellular Field with his father and is a big fan of the team. Kaminksy threw out the ceremonial first pitch before the Sox’s 8-5 loss to the Cardinals Tuesday night. The 6-foot-11 forward also took batting practice.

His bat flip technique needs some serious work … maybe talk to Hawk Harrelson about that. Then again, the Hawk is old school and there are few things old school baseball guys hate more than bat flips, so maybe it’s best Kaminsky leaves it as is.

Fortunately flipping a bat, to the best of my admittedly limited knowledge, shouldn’t affect his transition to the NBA.
