Darius Miles, Who Made Over $60 Million in the NBA, Has Reportedly Filed For Bankruptcy

Darius Miles is reportedly the latest addition to the long list of broke former professional athletes. On Friday the Belleville News-Democrat reported that Miles, 34, has filed for bankruptcy, listing $460,385 in assets and $1.57 million in liabilities.
According to Basketball-Reference, Miles’ career contracts totaled $61,999,973. The Trail Blazers paid Miles $9 million during the 2009-2010 season. He has not played since the ’08-’09 season.
In addition to on-court earnings, Miles was briefly a Jordan Brand athlete and had a fairly notable, but short acting career. If you want to relive the early 2000’s, read this IMDB thread titled, “are you serious??, D-Miles acts!?!“
