Britt McHenry Berates Tow Lot Employee [VIDEO] [UPDATES]

Britt McHenry must have had her car towed. This video purports to show the ESPN reporter verbally berating a woman working at a tow lot as she – I assume – pays to get her car back. It is brutal.

The video starts with the blonde woman – identified as McHenry – stating that she is in the news and will “f—ing sue this place.” At that point, the clerk tells the woman that she’s on video. That briefly stops her, but she later goes back in on the woman, insulting her job, education, intelligence and looks.

UPDATE (4:21 ET): Britt McHenry has tweeted an apology: “In an intense and stressful moment, I allowed my emotions to get the best of me and said some insulting and regrettable things. As frustrated as I was, I should always choose to be respectful and take the high road. I am so sorry for my actions and will learn from this mistake.”

UPDATE (3:35 ET): An ESPN spokesman tells TBL: “We are aware of a recent exchange between Britt McHenry and a towing company employee. We are now reviewing the matter with her.”

UPDATE: A little back story – McHenry was eating dinner in Arlington, Virginia on Sunday, April 5th, when her car was towed. ARL Now featured a now-deleted tweet by McHenry (saying she had been towed) in a story about possibly corrupt tow companies in Arlington.

McHenry tweeted about Advanced Towing which, unsurprisingly, has low scores from customers:
