Bill Simmons' Top Secret Project: He's Supposedly Getting a Budget and Hiring a Staff to Start

It didn’t take long for word of Bill Simmons’ top secret project to leak out – a source relayed to us that ESPN is giving Simmons his own budget to hire a staff and start up a blog at ESPN.com. [UPDATE: An ESPN insider says it’ll be a stand-alone website without the rigidity of ESPN.] His own version of Page 2? That remains to be seen. We called ESPN’s Rob King today in an attempt to get confirmation, but he would only offer “no comment.” Who will Simmons hand pick to be part of his staff?
