AHL Goalies Brawled at Center Ice

By Kyle Koster

Norfolk Admirals goalie John Gibson and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins goalie Jeff Deslauriers collided after a timeout, sparking some entertaining fisticuffs at center ice.
So good of the referees to let this happen. Progress at last.
Although Deslauriers appeared to be the instigator, it was Gibson who shined during the fight. Already considered a top prospect in the Anaheim Ducks organization, his punch-throwing skills will only increase his appeal.
Gibson also outshined Deslauriers in net as the Admirals prevailed, 4-1.
