Carolina Panthers wide receiver Jalen Coker has been ruled out of Sunday’s Week 3 matchup against the Cleveland Browns after suffering a quad injury.

Coker was initially able to contribute before the injury forced him out of the game. He finished with three receptions for 22 yards on four targets before leaving the matchup.

The Panthers then downgraded Coker to out, confirming that he would not return against Cleveland.

Jalen Coker injury update

Coker’s exit leaves Carolina with another hole at wide receiver. Wide receiver Xavier Legette was already inactive for the game with a knee injury, giving Bryce Young fewer options in the passing game.

Coker entered Week 3 after making an early impact for the Panthers. He had 16 receptions for 204 yards and two touchdown through the first two games of the season.

His absence could put more pressure on veteran Adam Thielen and the rest of Carolina’s receiving corps against Cleveland.

For now, the Panthers have confirmed that Coker will not return to Sunday’s game. The team has not announced a timetable for his return, so his status beyond Week 3 will need to be monitored.

The Panthers will hope Coker’s quad injury does not keep him sidelined for an extended stretch as they continue the 2026 season.
