We are officially turning the page to another month, which means some new entertainment is coming to our screens on Netflix. The streaming service is kicking off October the only way it knows how to, with a flurry of new releases over the next few weeks.
And because Halloween is right around the corner, it’s officially Spooky Season.
One of the most highly anticipated October releases is East of Eden, a seven-episode adaptation of John Steinbeck’s classic novel, starring Florence Pugh as Cathy Ames.

In another high-profile release, Ben Affleck and Kerry Washington co-star in Animals, a kidnapping thriller directed and co-written by Affleck.
Fans of documentaries will get to enjoy a four-part series that chronicles the life of boxing legend Mike Tyson, along with a docuseries about late Friends star actor Matthew Perry, The One About Matthew Perry.
On the lighter side, another season of the hit reality dating series Love Is Blind comes our way, along with season three of the Emmy-nominated rom-com Nobody Wants This, starring Kristen Bell and Adam Brody.
And finally, for the stand-up comedy fans, new specials from Michael Che and Mojo Brookzz are coming our way, along with the documentary Norm: The Tale of Norm Macdonald, which was directed by Judd Apatow.
