Week 3 of the NFL season was brutal from an injury standpoint, with several major fantasy football names suffering injuries that could significantly impact the rest of the season.

De’Von Achane is officially done for the year, while Baker Mayfield, Mike Evans, Justin Jefferson, Breece Hall, and Travis Etienne are among the other players whose availability could dramatically change heading into Week 4. When Will Puka Nacua finally be active?

The biggest news is undoubtedly De’Von Achane, who suffered a torn ACL in Miami’s loss to Kansas City and will miss the remainder of the season. Achane had 176 rushing yards and 49 receiving yards through three games.

Baker Mayfield will also miss at least three weeks after suffering a dislocated thumb. An MRI revealed no additional damage, but the injury ends his streak of 57 consecutive starts. Rookie Jalon Daniels is expected to start for Tampa Bay in Week 4.

Justin Jefferson suffered a sprained ankle but could still play Sunday against Miami. He has 13 catches for 179 yards and two touchdowns through three games, so his practice participation will be extremely important this week.

Breece Hall is considered week-to-week after suffering a thigh injury, while Travis Etienne could miss time after aggravating a hamstring injury. Mike Evans is dealing with a rib strain after leaving San Francisco’s win over Arizona.

Jayden Daniels is expected to practice this week, providing some optimism that he could return sooner rather than later.

There is also plenty of encouraging news.

Puka Nacua has a chance to return in Week 4 after missing the past two games with a hip injury. Sean McVay previously expressed hope that Nacua could return against Philadelphia.

Nico Collins could also return after missing two games with a hamstring injury. Texans coach DeMeco Ryans said the team is hopeful Collins will be back for Week 4 against Dallas.

A.J. Brown continues to progress in his recovery, while Zay Flowers could be closer to a full workload. Bucky Irving is not on the injury report after being held out late Sunday.

Among the other situations to monitor: Jalen Coker has a quad strain, Terrance Ferguson is likely to miss Week 4, Chig Okonkwo is expected to practice, and Colby Parkinson is considered day-to-day. Jalen McMillan could miss 6-to-8 weeks, while Brian Burns is out for the season after suffering a torn ACL.

Alec Pierce avoided surgery and continues to rehab, while Rico Dowdle sat out Monday’s walkthrough. Caleb Douglas is day-to-day and could practice Wednesday.
