The 2025 College Football Playoff is down to four programs battling for the national championship, and the ESPN announcer pairings have been revealed for the high-stakes matchups.
This season, Indiana, Miami, Ole Miss and Oregon enter the semifinals as the four schools aiming for college football glory in January.

However, out of that group of teams only Miami has ever managed to win a national championship. Indiana enters the semifinals as the lone undefeated team remaining after Fernando Mendoza and Co. blew out Alabama in the Rose Bowl.
The Hurricanes, Ducks and Rebels are all aiming to continue their great form after pulling off upsets in the previous round.
ESPN will have its ‘A’ team broadcasters hosting the first of the two semifinals matchups on Jan. 8 when Ole Miss and Miami look to punch their ticket into the CFP National Championship Game.
Meanwhile, Sean McDonough continues to impress college football fans this postseason as he’s paired with former Alabama quarterback Greg McIlroy. The two have developed tremendous chemistry together as the network’s other big commentators.

Miami Hurricanes quarterback Carson Beck (11) celebrates with wide receiver Keelan Marion (0) the Cotton Bowl at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas for the College Football Playoff quarterfinal game against the Ohio State Buckeyes on Dec. 31, 2025. Ohio State lost 24-14.
