Elvis Andrus made this unusual play to tag out Erick Aybar from the seat of his pants, literally. Aybar took off from first and Rangers catcher A.J. Pierzynski threw high. Andrus leap up, made the grab and landed on second and still managed to tag out Aybar.

Defensive plays like this are why the Rangers were willing to lock up Andrus to an eight-year $120 million extension in April, even if it meant the club had to find a spot for uber-prospect Jurickson Profar. Tuesday night, Profar played second and made this excellent catch to rob Mike Trout.
