Danny Green, the 2nd round pick out of North Carolina who was once cut by the Cleveland Cavaliers, has put himself in position to be the MVP of the NBA Finals if the Spurs can win one more game against the Heat. Green has made 25-of-38 3-pointers in this NBA Finals, a blistering 65 percent. Green passed Ray Allen’s previous record of 22 and drew a response from the Hall-of-Famer – seen at 1:55 in the video.

  • Game 1: 4-for-9
  • Game 2: 5-for-5
  • Game 3: 7-for-9
  • Game 4: 3-for-5
  • Game 5: 6-for-10

Among the most bizarre stats you’ll hear today about Green – he has made more 3-pointers in this series than Larry Bird ever had in an entire postseason. Bird, one of the greatest shooters in the NBA in the last 30 years, only attempted eight 3-pointers against the Lakers in the 1987 Finals (six games).
