I’m not exactly sure where in Denver they were playing, but it didn’t look like the pitch they were at had amenities like press booths… Which just adds to the brilliance of having a soccer game in Colorado in March.

Granted their dedication is 10 fold stronger than ours, but I was watching some European soccer the other day, and it was not only raining its ass off but you could see the steam from the players’ breath. Can’t imagine being that cold and having your shin just fuckin rocked. Although it’s soccer, so your shin wouldn’t actually get rocked. You’d just roll around like you got shot in the shin, and then once a yellow card got pulled for your opponent, you’d get up like nothing ever happened.

There is no logical reason to believe any other coach on the planet will be able to get significantly more out of the US team if you controlled for the effect of dumb luck.

If Klinsmann doesn’t get the USMNT into the World Cup he must be fired.

He was hired to prgress the team beyond where Bradley had it — qualifying for WC, then meeking out. If he can’t even make the WC, he’s a failure.
