Brett Comer Alley-Oop Dunk to Chase Fieler Helps Florida Gulf Coast Knock Out Georgetown, 78-68
Brett Comer tossed an underhand lob to a streaking Chase Fieler, who apparently can sky. If you thought Fieler’s teammate, Eddie Murray, had the dunk of the NCAA tourney … well, Fieler may have just topped it with this skywalking effort in the final two minutes of Florida Golf Coast’s stunning performance against second-seeded Georgetown.
The only thing missing here is Gus Johnson, but Kevin Harlan’s call wasn’t bad at all.

Eddie Murray beating Georgetown is a horribly conflicting thing for me to read.

Spent the past week in Ft Meyers. Had no idea there was a university (supposedly) there. The hell is a FGCU?

You cant stop the Big East. You can only hope to contain it.

Greatest upset in NCAA history
Not really. FGCU beat Florida earlier this year. Georgetown was over-seeded. It’s probably the least surprising 15 over 2-seed that’s happened.

Anybody see the meteor?

Miami*

FGCU beat Miami, not Florida.
March 22nd, 2013 at 9:29 PM
I know. Vez checked me on it first. Well, Miami’s a 2-seed, too, so that’s an even stronger win. Fuck it all

Nice upset, but not even top 10 in NCAA history. Villenova over G’town and Duke beating a UNLV team that could have played in the 1991 NBA were much better. #15 Santa Clara and Steve Nash over a damned good #2 Arizona team was the biggest first round upset.

Spring Breaking. Yeah.

Southern over Georgia Tech in 1986 was pretty big, too.

So refresh my memory, when was the last Catholic 7 to win a NCAA BB championship?
March 22nd, 2013 at 10:33 PM
I come home from a stag and all hell breaks loose. G-town lost? Big East going down very quietly except for Louisville.
March 22nd, 2013 at 11:07 PM
That must be the quietest dumpster fire ever. What a disaster the last couple days has been for that league.

Southern over GA Tech was 1993. Saw it in person. They had a great band. I might go with Princeton over UCLA in 1996.
