Vander Blue’s Layup with :01 Left Lifts Marquette Over Davidson
Vander Blue, Marquette’s best player, struggled through a rough afternoon 5-of-15 – but his layup with :01 left lifted the Golden Eagles over upset-minded Davidson, 59-58.
Davidson, a 14 seed, led for the majority of the game – and by five with :30 left – but 3rd-seeded Marquette rallied in the final minute with a flurry of 3-pointers. Marquette ended the game on a 13-5 run.
The Marquette victory saves face for the Big East, which was looking at an 0-2 start. Pittsburgh was annihilated by Wichita State, 73-55, in what could be Jamie Dixon’s final game with the Panthers.

Big East. overrated yet again.
How was it overrated? It wasn’t rated 1 or 2 and everyone knew there was a drop off after Louisville. The only other team that may make a nice long run is G-Town.

I hate when all the scrubs on the bench hold out their arms to keep each other back. Pisses me off for some reason.

I need the Zags to go on a 20-0 run here to cover. Not looking good.
March 21st, 2013 at 6:26 PM
I took the UNDER 128.5 on the Zags game

He got in the Tracy McGrady type of zone… any shot anywhere, he was going to make it. 3-3-2-steal in the last minute to take it.
March 21st, 2013 at 6:29 PM
Caribou, looking a lot better than taking Zags straight up.
March 21st, 2013 at 6:31 PM
Yeah jdeeser5, you’re right. We’ll see though. I took ORE +2 in the other game. Did not like the Cowboys away from home. Been that way all season

Definitely going to be jumping on VCU later tonight.
March 21st, 2013 at 6:32 PM
I actually was going to jump on Oregon but took the Zags instead. Had St. Louis earlier today. Starting slow and trying to build up coin to use on games I love.

God what I wouldnt do to see Southern beat these fucking hippies.
March 21st, 2013 at 6:35 PM
This is getting quite interesting. What a game.

I have Oregon in the Sweet 16. That’s a nice result for me.
March 21st, 2013 at 6:36 PM
Hehe… Jarvis jones and his 40 time… Even teo beat him…. So jarvis is now a fifth round pick with his awful showing?

Reckon Seth Davis will kill himself if the Zags blow this?
March 21st, 2013 at 6:38 PM
so bitter about freaking Oklahoma State. was heavily invested. completely soiled bed. no shot here.
March 21st, 2013 at 6:38 PM
Hey its the notre dame troll. Aren’t you so proud of your closeted gay linebacker who can’t tackle real players?
March 21st, 2013 at 6:39 PM
I had Oregon when I first filled my bracket out. Then I got talked out of it. Also had the Zags losing early and got talked out of that as well. The lesson here, always go with your gut.
March 21st, 2013 at 6:39 PM
That definitely wasnt a charge. Guy was still sliding and leaning back when Olynyk was driving. More mediocre officiating! Hooray!

Britney Griner with his fourth foul.

Southern players should play for Indiana. They flop with the best
March 21st, 2013 at 6:47 PM
Gotlieb needs to learn to STFU and let the viewer enjoy the game.

I had Pitt in the elite 8… the pitt part because of homer-ism and it didnt matter, but i def didn’t believe in Gonzaga.

I was driving to work and heard the final 2 minutes of this Davidson game. They got the kid on after the game that made the threes, the announcer joked and mentioned the rope-a-dope, laughingly asking “Was it your plan to save all your threes for the end, to lull them into a false confidence” (I’m thinking the player wont understand). The player goes “we never try to miss shots to help the other team”.
