I think you have to get to a story like “he received one offer from a D-III school then decided to walk on at such and such major university” before you can claim someone is lightly recruited.

I was referring to your comment and his tweet. It’s okay. I’m not trying to make a big deal, just on a quest for more accuracy in sports commenting. A fruitless endeavor that will most likely lead me on a journey similar to that of Ash Williams.

Larkin is the better story. But as a shameless homer, I’d make another plug for Erick Green in a similar story. Yeah, VT was absolute garbage. But he entered college as a completely unranked player, and just finished up his senior season leading the nation in scoring, 1st team All-ACC, and was named ACC player of the year. Not a bad transformation.
