Cavs Fan Wearing “2014 Come Back” T-Shirt Rushes Court During Miami – Cleveland Game [Video]
LeBron James is in Cleveland tonight, helping the Heat orchestrate one of the most impressive comebacks you will ever see in an NBA regular season game matching a Hall of Famer and his former hometown team. During the 4th quarter, a fan wandered onto the court, wearing a shirt that had “2014 Come Back” written on it. This is, of course, a reference to the renewed rumors that LeBron will return to Cleveland when his current contract with the Miami Heat ends.

A lady taught me once, “never go back”.
March 20th, 2013 at 10:09 PM
Why do these morons set themselves up like this. LeBron is gone, he ain’t coming back. You are just making it more painful for yourself Cleveland.
March 20th, 2013 at 10:10 PM
loving lebron. such an unreal player. when it’s all over, he’ll be viewed as better than Jordan. this guy’s just insane
March 20th, 2013 at 10:19 PM
He’ll never be viewed as better than Jordan, even if he actually is better than Jordan (he’s not). The nba is such a shittier, weaker league now then when MJ played. Can’t discount that. Jordans Bulls would have won this game against an awful cleveland by 35.
March 20th, 2013 at 10:19 PM
If this is an attempt to troll then I apologize but in what way will LeBron be better than MJ? Long way to go in terms of titles and inferior from a pure stats point of view.
March 20th, 2013 at 10:20 PM
Better than Jordan? Not even better than Hakeem.
March 20th, 2013 at 10:20 PM
They have nothing else to hope for. With every passing contract Lebron signs, they’ll keep telling themselves he’ll be back for the next one.
March 20th, 2013 at 10:21 PM

March 20th, 2013 at 10:21 PM
good not great
March 20th, 2013 at 10:21 PM
Jason, I have told this to a close friend of mine, he likes to argue with me. He is BETTER than MJ. period. I love Jordan, watched him at UNC, still remember watching the shot vs GEORGETOWN, unbelievable career as a Chicago Bull, but LeBron will go down as the best. Some MJ fans don’t want to hear this, but its the truth.
March 20th, 2013 at 10:23 PM
Aaron rodger is better than Brady or Montana.
March 20th, 2013 at 10:23 PM
update the spread sheet….Caribou smokes the glass pipe
March 20th, 2013 at 10:24 PM
seriously who is lebron james’ pops ?? this guy could single handedly create a super human race all by himself. why is the U.S gov’t not all over this guy for his DNA …where’s gloria? answers plz
March 20th, 2013 at 10:24 PM
Tebow should’ve been drafted #1 overall.
Is this how we play?
March 20th, 2013 at 10:25 PM
Again, MJ would have beat this Cleveland team by 35. I understand the Heat get everyone’s best, but they were down 27 to a team missing their only good player and beat a Garnett and Rondo-less Boston team by three. They’re not exactly facing a murderers row in the East.
March 20th, 2013 at 10:26 PM
Caribou, how do you back that argument up exactly? He’s a better rebounder? Ummmm, more athletic….
March 20th, 2013 at 10:26 PM
Caribou….wtf?
March 20th, 2013 at 10:26 PM
Cal Ripken was on PEDs.
March 20th, 2013 at 10:27 PM
He can’t even play baseball!!!!
March 20th, 2013 at 10:27 PM
Lebron isn’t better than Jordan yet. And I don’t think ever, but if he keeps this up for 8 more years and 5 more titles, maybe.
And people will always respect the fact Jordan stuck with the same team that couldn’t beat the Pistons or Celtics for years. Didn’t just jump to the Lakers.
March 20th, 2013 at 10:27 PM
I did smoke ganja in college, but those days have long passed. Are we going strictly on NBA titles, talent, scoring titles, what?
March 20th, 2013 at 10:28 PM
I think he’ll need to get at least 3 more rings to be in that conversation, and that’s doable. But I don’t think he ever surpasses MJ in the public conscience though, MJ’s Bulls were revered. Also LeBron leaving Cleveland will forever stain his legacy, fair or unfair.
2nd half line might have been the easiest money all season.
March 20th, 2013 at 10:29 PM
Ask tbl, meth.
March 20th, 2013 at 10:29 PM
that’s a question for you to answer…pretty obvious it’s not rings
March 20th, 2013 at 10:29 PM
all around i say. Wilt was probably a better “athlete” than Jordan, but sure as shit wasn’t better.
March 20th, 2013 at 10:29 PM
We are going on stats, titles, or any other way to measure a basketball player.
March 20th, 2013 at 10:30 PM
Think he meant the clear glass pipe. Tyrome Biggums style. Scratching your neck, peeking around corners and shit.
/Ohhhhhh shiiit, son!

March 20th, 2013 at 10:33 PM
Yeah, what stooge said. Leaving cleveland to format a superteam after he couldn’t win on his own will always keep him out of the Jordan category for a lot of people. That and the level of competition. The East is so, so bad and the Heat caught a lot of teams without their stars during this run.
March 20th, 2013 at 10:34 PM
Cant measure titles because Robert Horry has 7 rings.
Queefer, did you watch NBA in the 90s? There were SO many shitty teams back then too.
Jordan’s 72-10 team lost by 32 to the Knicks. Also – jordan never won anythng til he had Phil and Scottie but the fanatics and idol worshippers conveniently ignore it. Michael failed repeatedly at the start of his career. LeBron actually took a bad team to the FINALS. But thats okay, lets all continue the ignorant assumption that nobody can be better than Jordan. Media and nike narrative since the 90s.
March 20th, 2013 at 10:34 PM
I can’t hold an argument right now laying in my bed typing on my iPad. Too many stats I’d have to pull up and copy and paste, I think when all is said and done, LeBron will fall short in the nba title count, but I think from a pure basketball talent, he will be better than Jordan. LeBron makes the people around him better, Jordan did not. Jordan also had Phil Jckson, who we all can agree is one of the top coaches of all time. LeBron? He had Paul Silas, mike brown and Eric spolestra? Not the same level of coaching there.
March 20th, 2013 at 10:34 PM
WILL LEBRON JOIN THE LAKERS NEXT SEASON QUESTION MARK
/related links
March 20th, 2013 at 10:34 PM
On a personal level no matter what I’ll probably always put MJ over LeBron in terms of joy garnered from watching. Dude had a way about him on the court. LeBron is more of an athletic freak.
March 20th, 2013 at 10:34 PM
HuminahuminahuminahuminaSHAZAM!
March 20th, 2013 at 10:36 PM
Yah, because MJ won with NOBODY! Such a fucking stupid argument and im not a lebron fan.
/wanking motion
//80s celtics and lakers were superteams but nobody complained. We just live in a society full of pussies
March 20th, 2013 at 10:36 PM
Phil Jackson also won all his titles with MJ, Kobe and Shaq on the roster. Think that helped?
Jordan made scottie pippen one of the 50 greatest players in nba history.
March 20th, 2013 at 10:37 PM
Phil had Jordan/Pippen and Kobe/Shaq. If Spoelstra somehow finishes his career with LeBron/Wade and then Durant/Westbrook (or whoever is next) the narrative will be “LeBron had Spoelstra.” Not saying Phil had nothing to do with it, but Phil wasn’t exactly starving for talent.
March 20th, 2013 at 10:37 PM
MJ didn’t leave to find those guys, AP. Fair or not, that matters to a lot of people.
March 20th, 2013 at 10:38 PM
Yea I agree with that. Maybe it’s just the childhood nostalgia but I wish I had been a little older in his prime so I could’ve fully appreciated it while it was actually happening.
March 20th, 2013 at 10:39 PM
yeah but they won, and that is impressive in it’s own way every bit as much as blowing teams out. They’re fighting through fatigue on an extended road trip, 4 games in 6 days. The league being better back then overall is highly debatable. By 96, the league was in transition as the players that carried the league in the late 80′s and early 90′s were getting older while the guys who would eventually carry the league in the 2000′s were in their first or second years.
March 20th, 2013 at 10:40 PM
AP, Lebron never won anything until he sold his sole to the devil to join Wade and Bosh. Scottie was drafted by the Bulls. MJ was a great team player, excellent defender, and we all know his offensive skills were unmatched. But yeah, Lebron somehow took Cleveland through an absolutely awful Eastern Conference to get trounced by the Spurs.
March 20th, 2013 at 10:40 PM
Those people are weak-minded bitches who probably whine when they got picked last in gym class. Wah wah wah, my team sucks, its not fair. The biggest fallacy is the idea that an NBA megastar can win a title on his own. MORONS
March 20th, 2013 at 10:40 PM
huh, guess i should just leave this to queefer. not saying Lebron isn’t great and might go down as the best of all time, but he also bailed on a team after losing. Jordan lost for a long time before winning and didn’t bail. People take that into account whether they should or shouldn’t.
March 20th, 2013 at 10:41 PM
what did Jordan do to make Pippen top 50?
March 20th, 2013 at 10:41 PM
No team from ’03 to ’10 is even close to being on par with Bird’s Celtics and Isiah’s Pistons. I do agree though that people do overlook that MJ didn’t win from the beginning. It’s just that his 90s teams were so dominant. LeBron could pull that off, but I don’t know how much longer he can count on Wade being his sidekick.
March 20th, 2013 at 10:41 PM
We’re really going to pretend that the East isn’t historically terrible right now?
Yes, they are tired and they are on the road and they are getting everyone’s best. I give them credit for winning. I guess the close calls against bad teams missing essential players are starting to add up for me.
March 20th, 2013 at 10:41 PM
Always knew Rex Ryan was the devil.
/Foot fetish
March 20th, 2013 at 10:43 PM
more impressed with the nugs streak. OKC twice!
March 20th, 2013 at 10:43 PM
AP = Soused tonight? Breathe, homie.
March 20th, 2013 at 10:44 PM
Yeah, because he didn’t do enough with the likes of Big Z, daniel gibson, donyell marshall. Mo williams, antawn jamison, and the other middle of road players management put on the roster. He did a lot with a little.
March 20th, 2013 at 10:44 PM
This argue net is so fucking dumb. Jordan is better, and will be until Lebron wins at least three to four more titles.
March 20th, 2013 at 10:45 PM
I think that’s something that shouldn’t really be held against someone if they do, but it looks much greater if they don’t. Either way you’re going to need other pieces.
March 20th, 2013 at 10:45 PM
agree. that is why i said should or shouldn’t. management and GM’s play a heavier role now it seems. so much rushing to placate these guys immediately and usually they blow up the future doing it.
March 20th, 2013 at 10:46 PM
I figured it was nostalgia at first but there are entire Jordan games on youtube that I’ve rewatched. MJ just had a confidence and grace about him. LeBron does special things, but a lot of it comes from straight up overpowering defenders.
March 20th, 2013 at 10:46 PM
Nugs tired them out so Memphis could keep up tonight. Thanks, Denver!
March 20th, 2013 at 10:48 PM
1995-1996 season..some team records
EAST
Miami 42-40 (8 seed)
Charlotte 41-41
Washington 39-43
Boston 33-49
New jersey 30-52
Milwaukee 25-57
Toronto 21-61
Philadelphia 18-64
WEST
Sacramento 34-48
Golden State 36-46
Denver 35-47
Clippers 29-53
Minnesota 26-56
Dallas 26-56
Vancouver 15-67
Lots of shit in that season too…
March 20th, 2013 at 10:48 PM
have any of you read dream team? after reading that book i am convinced jordan will be the greatest for a long time. dude was so competitive. granted it was a book written by someone i don’t know, but man it was good.
March 20th, 2013 at 10:48 PM
Plus ther are no centers in the game to even try to get in lebrons way. Jordan played against the best interior guys, and still played at the rim.
March 20th, 2013 at 10:49 PM
Srry..Kings were 39-43 and MADE THE PLAYOFFS as an 8 seed.
March 20th, 2013 at 10:49 PM
For the record, I, and I think most of us fucks here don’t want him back.
March 20th, 2013 at 10:49 PM
low scoring game tonight srod. excited about this nugs team. my wife saw koufas in king soopers last month. recognized him by his nose. and his being 7’2
March 20th, 2013 at 10:51 PM
mpiii – not sure any of those centers could have stopped lebron. maybe shaq. but lebron is a ridiculous specimen.
/no coop
March 20th, 2013 at 10:52 PM
Its Jordan and why cant this generation control its lust for instant gratification. How about he wins more than one title before we start annointing him. Fuck sake its so shallow.
Also, Cleveland should set itself on fire.
March 20th, 2013 at 10:53 PM
Shaquille , Hakeem, Ewing Robinson would have all limited him inside.
March 20th, 2013 at 10:53 PM
I’m worried about them. They can beat anyone in a game 7 at Pepsi Center. That’s why Memphis “needs” the 4 seed more than Denver (because I am biased).
March 20th, 2013 at 10:54 PM
the problem is we usually vilify or write them off just as quick now. can’t really win either way.
March 20th, 2013 at 10:54 PM
LeBron is an inch shorter than Olajuwon and stronger. If Hakeem got in his way, LeBron would have thrown it down on his head too.
March 20th, 2013 at 10:54 PM
Cowboy gets it.
March 20th, 2013 at 10:55 PM
Wrong again Darrell.
March 20th, 2013 at 10:56 PM
Sad that titles make someone a better player. It’s like saying some other power hitter is better than Bonds because Barry didnt get a world series ring. You just can’t compare championships in team sports. Marino and Fouts were GREAT qbs but people penalize them because they didnt win a superbowl. Fuck..Joe Namath has a superbowl and he wasnt half the QB Fouts was. Wilt Chamberlain was a GREAT player but Didn’t win as many titles as Bill Russell. It doesnt make Russell the better player.
Lebron didnt bail. He was a free agent. He fulfilled his obligation. Free market. Should he have stayed and played with mediocre supporting talent like Tony Gwynn did forever in san diego? Its not a basketball argument, its a people being selfish and retarded argument.
March 20th, 2013 at 10:56 PM
very true srod. i am a lakers fan, but have lived here for 13 years so have a soft spot for the nugs. i tell my buddies that are nugs fans that if the nugs could get a round or two at home in the playoffs they will be unbeatable. on the road… another story. they have been improving the road record though.
so the nugs need that 4 seed just as much.
March 20th, 2013 at 10:57 PM
Why would he have to win more than one title to have his greatness properly measured?
March 20th, 2013 at 10:58 PM
yeah the bailed thing is tough to gauge. free agency is great, but ruined everything.
March 20th, 2013 at 10:58 PM
Menarky, darrell is older than most of us. He actually does know more about basketball from the 90s than us.
Also, patrick ewing..yawn
March 20th, 2013 at 10:59 PM
Why would he have to win more than one title to have his greatness properly measured?
Probably because Trent Dilfer won “a” title
March 20th, 2013 at 11:01 PM
Ap, I grew up on 90s basketball, and my two favorite players ever played then.
March 20th, 2013 at 11:01 PM
stooge, you’re another Mile High City guy? I’m still an hour south of ya, here in the Spgs. I need League Pass to watch my Grizzlies.
March 20th, 2013 at 11:01 PM
It’s going to be hilarious when the Heat don’t win it all this year.
March 20th, 2013 at 11:03 PM
so we’re equating LeBron and Trent Dilfer?
March 20th, 2013 at 11:03 PM
1993-1994 season..without Michael Jordan..55-27. Lebron james never played with anyone in Cleveland that was good as Pippen, Rodman, Cartwright, Kerr, Paxson, and Toni Kukoc. Michael Jordan is great, no doubt. But it’s just ridiculous to say that nobody can ever be better than him. It’s basically ignoring everything before 1990 and after 1998.
March 20th, 2013 at 11:03 PM
yeah up in denver. mpIII – who were you favorite 2?
March 20th, 2013 at 11:03 PM
You play both ends in the NBA. LeBron does that well, so if he keeps this up, they should absolutely win it all. But they won’t.
I do enjoy that Trent Dilfer has entered the fray though.
March 20th, 2013 at 11:04 PM
Man, I don’t know more than anyone else, and not as much than more than a few. I just argue what I’ve seen.
March 20th, 2013 at 11:04 PM
so who wins it all tim?
March 20th, 2013 at 11:07 PM
Terry bradshaw won four titles..using titles as a trump card, he should be regarded better than Young and Manning…
Barkley won no titles. His career is tarnished. Shame on him
March 20th, 2013 at 11:07 PM
As of now there’s no argument as far as I’m concerned. LeBron has a lot more to do, and we’re still not far enough removed from him quitting on Cleveland against Boston and the Decision.
March 20th, 2013 at 11:08 PM
Comparing NFL to NBA in this case is more amusing than Louie Aderson’s tits.
March 20th, 2013 at 11:09 PM
LeBron doesn’t need to get to 6, but 1 or 2 isn’t gonna cut it. We’re talking about greatest of all time here.
March 20th, 2013 at 11:09 PM
so we’re equating LeBron and Trent Dilfer?
Nah. You just asked why people shouldn’t anoint after 1 title. There is probably a better example. What other young hyped (and really talented) person won a title early and never did again?
March 20th, 2013 at 11:09 PM
Ted Williams and Stan Musial > Dimaggio and Mantle but the latter get all the praise because theit teams won many world series.
Just trying to say that winning a title in team sports does not make one individual so much better than someone else who didnt have a team good enough to win.
March 20th, 2013 at 11:10 PM
Pippen should have been the MVP that year. But that would have run against the entire the Bulls were all Michael Jordan narrative. Basketball writers are to Jordan what the Baseball writers of the 20′s and 30′ were to Ruth. Extremely protective of his legacy.
March 20th, 2013 at 11:10 PM
Darrell-
Right now you can say Lebron is the best ever?
Of course you can take the contrarian side and make a good argument either way; they are both top 5 right now. If Lebron never played another game you say he is better than Jordan? If you are not projecting to add future stats/titles…There. Is. No Fucking. Way.
March 20th, 2013 at 11:11 PM
Still wondering why you penalize lebron for having shitty talent around him in cleveland while Jordan had much better talent around him. Revisionist history to act like Jordan did it himself.
March 20th, 2013 at 11:12 PM
Hank Aaron
March 20th, 2013 at 11:13 PM

The only thing you wrote all day I agreed with (which is rare). Namath was not even average if you look at his whole profile.
He doesnt. I think every soul here would concede LeBron is a great player. Hell, thats almost an insult. Whats better than great?
But you camel balls are arguing he has exceeded Michael Fucking Jordan RIGHT NOW. NOW, he’s already better.
God Damn.
March 20th, 2013 at 11:16 PM
But it’s just ridiculous to say that nobody can ever be better than him.
no one is saying that, but we can’t predict the future either….
March 20th, 2013 at 11:17 PM
Never said it. But I also won’t act as if comparing LeBron’s projected career, based on his current level of play, is an insult to Michael, just as comparing Kobe to Michael isn’t blasphemous.
March 20th, 2013 at 11:17 PM
I dont think anyone is saying he’s better right now. I believe the argument is that by end of his career he may well be better.

Unrelated but i find it odd that people slam lebron for being too nice while they praised jordan for being a complete piece of shit

Did Cal ever win a WS? Hank Aaron is an interesting comparison.
March 20th, 2013 at 11:19 PM
Or because Mantle and Dimaggio played in the only city in the world that is relevant. So says Mike Lupica.

if that’s the argument then fuck me, Caribou and Jmac started this shit…fucking 60 lb. test
March 20th, 2013 at 11:23 PM
At least early in his career, LeBron was allegedly a piece of shit off the court.
People had gotten on him for his lack of competitiveness and reluctance in some key situations, but I think that’s changing.
March 20th, 2013 at 11:24 PM
Exactly. That dude may have a cock the size of a kitchen table leg.
March 20th, 2013 at 11:24 PM
Jordan was always a straightforward dick, through and through. Took LeBron awhile to figure out his act, which he’s changed a few times. That’s far more irritating.
March 20th, 2013 at 11:25 PM

dude he’s misunderstood, he hooked up his teammate with a piece of ass, so what if it was his Moms
March 20th, 2013 at 11:25 PM
Jerry West went 1-8 in the Finals (losing 7 in a row) and now he’s the Logo. I cannot imagine something even close to that happening ever again. You would get destroyed with a record like that.

The Jordan homerism drives me insane. Its as if no other athlete can sniff his jockstrap based on nostalgia alone. Basketball evolves as a sport and rules change – get over it.
Jordan is definitely the GOAT as it stands. But at the rate Lebron is going? He can definitely finish his career with better stats, around the same amount of rings, same amount of MVPs, etc.
I hated Lebron with a passion up until last year, but this dude is a once in a lifetime player, even more so than Kobe Bryant. There is not a single flaw in his game right now, it is amazing to watch.
March 20th, 2013 at 11:26 PM

i forget how good kobe is sometimes and assume he is washed up and then watch him score 40 and reconsider.
March 20th, 2013 at 11:31 PM
i was once a poor excuse for a carnie. i guessed ages and weight at six flags.
the key was to lie to every woman. every single one. oh shit! you’re 45? I wrote 22! take a cheap ass prize and go away.
March 20th, 2013 at 11:34 PM
Not really. At Lebron’s age, his accomplishments are pretty much on par with Michael’s at the same age. For example, he is 99% likely to win 4th MVP at 28 years of age – that’s 1 way from tying Jordan’s entire MVP collection for his career. And they both had exactly 1 title at age 28.
Furthermore, Lebron’s team is heavily favored to win a second straight championship, and judging by this recent streak, they’re playing even better than they were during their championship run.
The only thing that remains to be seen is how LBJ will adjust his game once his athleticism fades. That I think will be his ultimate downfall as he is not as fundamentally sound as Kobe or Jordan.

anyone else take tomorrow and friday off to watch the tournament?
March 20th, 2013 at 11:38 PM
It really is fun to watch, as is this run, but I choose to stay in the present tense rather than get worked up over how long he can keep this up.
March 20th, 2013 at 11:38 PM
Kobe is ahead froma a pure basketball stndpoint. In terms of pure skills, in my opinion, he is unmatched in today’s era. However, Lebron has the leg up on him in terms of career individual accomplishments, and also in terms of leadership and overall playing style (passing, rebounding, efficiency).
However, I agree with the notion that Lebron has about 2 rings to go before he gets mentioned with the same reverence as Kobe, and about 4 before he seriously threatens usurping Jordan’s 15-year old throne as GOAT.
March 20th, 2013 at 11:38 PM
36th career triple double for Lebron. Unreal.

no one, but this is the flaw in your argument, you are assuming this will go on for 10+ years

Tim, Way to be a neutral journa…oh yeah, you aren’t a journalist at all. Carry on.
And for the guy who said that pippen was drafted by the Bulls (as if their titles were less tainted than if acquired via free agency), pippen was drafted by the Sonics fifth overall and traded to the bulls for olden polynice.

The Celtics are like Ali in his last fight against Trevor Berbick. They can summon up enough energy to make a stand here or there and provide a brief glimpse of the glory days, but they can’t sustain for the long term.
March 21st, 2013 at 1:33 AM
The amount of SG hate posts you make is a little frightening. It’s not all the time, but I’ll occasionally see a few where it’s completely at random and nobody else had even brought her up.
What’d she do to you?

I apologize. Had a very bad day yesterday. Inappropriate of me
March 21st, 2013 at 8:07 AM

I do agree with what you said
I think both players are great, but I think LeBron has a chance to be the better of the two by the end of his career IMO
