Good Lord. I hope you copied and pasted this Jmac. Watching NFL games I am very conscious of who is announcing. Living in Nashville and getting a steady diet of… …hell, I dont even know. You are 100% aware of what the league and network partners think of your team.
But for the first weekend, I think its meaningless. They are basically guessing. When Packer was the #1 color guy they always sent him to the region of the ACC #1. But its a a crapshoot where the drama is going to come from. Hell, its tougher than picking the Powerball numbers.
All that said (way to many words) I cant think of a single dramatic moment over the last 30 years where the announcing team bombed regardless of reputation.
