Marshall Henderson Trying to “Get This Money” in March, Plans to “Go Balls to the Wall” vs. Florida
Marshall Henderson, the Ole Miss dribbling machine with a checkered past but possibly an NBA future, has the Rebels playing in the SEC Championship game today, a showdown with Florida that could be for an NCAA Tournament berth.
The eminently quotable Henderson had some fun with the media Saturday night. From the Palm Beach Post:
* After beating the Commodores, he had some interesting thoughts to share, including that his goal for the post-season is to “make a name for myself so I can get this money.”
* He also divulged that Ole Miss’ plan for the game is to “come out and go balls to the wall tomorrow, just leave it all out there. I don’t know when the NCAA tournament starts, but we can rest when we get back.”
My guess is if the Rebels make the tourney, they’re playing Tuesday or Wednesday night in one of those nobody-cares-about “first round” games. (They’ll forever be “play-in” games to me.) My guess is casual fans would bother looking for TruTV to watch Marshall Henderson. [Palm Beach Post]

yep.
Google is wonderful to find Kentucky fans desperately trying to justify their inclusion for an early-round exit. Just shut up and go win the NIT.

Ole Miss is interesting because they are in with a win, even if it werent for the auto bid. But a blowout loss might give a few teams hope. The committee generally has to make these decisions before the result of the game though, so I’m going with ‘definitely in’ because otherwise a late autobid screws up the whole bracket if they were ‘out’ but then won.

He appears to be a rather scholarly fellow.
