bad market for pass rushers this year, although he’s very good. But this has bad cap ramifications on the Broncos, I think.

yeah, but he originally signed a 6 year deal (in 2010) with 40 million guaranteed. This 12 million “guaranteed” dollars was part of that “guaranteed” money. And he was “guaranteed” that money, except how they were going to fire him unless he agreed to take less “guaranteed” money.

my favorite part of this story is the continual reference to that money he was never going to get “guaranteed.” I do not think that word means what you think it means.
