The Big Ten as Simpsons Characters is Pretty Hilarious
All, College Athletics, College Basketball, College Football March 14th. 2013, 1:05pm
Someone on Reddit anthropomorphized the Big Ten schools as Simpsons characters. Michigan, Penn State and Iowa are great, though it is hard to top Purdue as a cowering Milhouse.

Bueno excellente!
March 14th, 2013 at 1:13 PM
They tried one for the SEC, but it ended up being 14 Cletuses (Cleti?)
March 14th, 2013 at 1:15 PM
What is the real deal with Michigan State? You know what I’m talking about
March 14th, 2013 at 1:18 PM
I’ve never really seen the Simpsons but I know the MSU guy is subservient to the Michigan guy so I approve of that.
March 14th, 2013 at 1:18 PM
Needed to incorporate Krusty, Otto and Nelson.
March 14th, 2013 at 1:18 PM
Good thing Missouri didnt join the conference, i’ll be dead in the cold cold ground before I ever recognizes Missourah.

The Nick Offerman AMA yesterday was quite good.

Ralph Wiggum as the Gophers is particularly fitting right now
March 14th, 2013 at 1:21 PM
the MSU guy is subservient to the Michigan
first team in Mich w/ a winged helmet was MSU (before they were called MSU) i believe.
March 14th, 2013 at 1:21 PM
I’ve never really seen the Simpsons
The fuck? How is that even possible?
March 14th, 2013 at 1:22 PM
No Comic Book Guy? Zero validity to this

Sorry, we were looking for “Worst anthropormorphizeation ever.”
March 14th, 2013 at 1:23 PM
In addition, Ralph should also have “IDAHO” written on a piece of paper taped to his shirt

Good Q&A with math nerds who look at what type of rating system college football should use.
March 14th, 2013 at 1:25 PM

They used a picture of Ford Stadium for the banner though. SMU representing!
March 14th, 2013 at 1:26 PM
Gophers within 1!
March 14th, 2013 at 1:27 PM
My dad thought it was too vulgar or something.

That’s what I was talking about.

So did my mother, but that didn’t stop me.

I’ve never really seen the Simpsons

I didn’t watch the Simpsons until I was 20. ~1995 or so.

My season tickets are on the left side of that picture. Lower bowl. If you look closely enough you can see me. I’m the drunk one.
/you can’t actually see me
March 14th, 2013 at 1:30 PM
My dad thought it was too vulgar or something.
Parents said same thing about South Park when it first came out. I made it a mission to watch it any way I could.
March 14th, 2013 at 1:30 PM
I did laugh out loud at that. But since it’s Penn State, shouldn’t they be the one with the sword chasing the cowering child?
March 14th, 2013 at 1:30 PM
/raises hand
My first wife hated it. Thought it would be a bad influence on our kids.
March 14th, 2013 at 1:31 PM
I think princeton was the first to have the winged helmet. I believe that back in those days Moo U was known as MAC (Michigan Agricultural College).
March 14th, 2013 at 1:31 PM
The fuck? How is that even possible?
My dad thought it was too vulgar or something
I couldn’t watch Mr Rodgers because my dad thought he was “light in the loafers”.
Never got into the Simpsons either. I think all the stupid Bart T-shirts people wore all the time just annoyed me enough to avoid the show.
March 14th, 2013 at 1:32 PM
Moe? I don’t get it.
March 14th, 2013 at 1:33 PM
Sexual Predator. Duh.

March 14th, 2013 at 1:34 PM
lol @ indiana…disco stu likes music from the last time indiana was ranked!
March 14th, 2013 at 1:35 PM
Yeah but my friends growing up mostly weren’t in to the Simpsons anyway so it wasn’t that big a deal.
March 14th, 2013 at 1:35 PM
I guess it would be easy to see who Penn State would be if they were anthropomorphized from Family Guy.
March 14th, 2013 at 1:35 PM
I can still remember the year Fox got football (94 I think), and on Week 1 they aired the commercial for the Simpsons season premiere (Bart of Darkness) every single commercial break. I only started watching every week thanks to Fox’s brainwashing.
March 14th, 2013 at 1:36 PM
The smugness and obesity is being saved for when they use him for the whole for SEC fans
March 14th, 2013 at 1:36 PM
Lots of CAPS TO INDICATE HIS ANGER
March 14th, 2013 at 1:36 PM
Homer was the only accused predator, in the great candy on the babysitters ass episode. Moe had quite a few ladies, usually appropriate in age and ambition.
March 14th, 2013 at 1:37 PM
i feel like osu should be mayor quimby. the air of superiority, the abuse of power, the questionable ethics…makes so much sense.
March 14th, 2013 at 1:37 PM
Homer was the only accused predator, in the great candy on the babysitters ass episode.
Love that episode. Sweet Cans.
March 14th, 2013 at 1:38 PM
Thought Crisler invented it at Princeton before he came to Michigan, but apparently MSU had a similar design that predated his
March 14th, 2013 at 1:38 PM
I’m shocked Grantland hasn’t swooped in to pick him up since he fits their “write like a spastic 9th grader” criteria
March 14th, 2013 at 1:38 PM
I they wanted to be accurate they would have made the whole conference Ned Flanders. An overbearing asshole who thinks so highly of himself that he can’t see his own overrated fallacies.
March 14th, 2013 at 1:39 PM
Homer, this is God….frey Jones
March 14th, 2013 at 1:39 PM
Never seen an episode of South Park. Not entirely sure why.
March 14th, 2013 at 1:39 PM
But he had to engineer a fraud and coverup to keep the one while making a loyal supporter the fall guy, Moe still fits
March 14th, 2013 at 1:39 PM
i dont think youd dig it all that much, knwoing your style of humor.
March 14th, 2013 at 1:40 PM
Probably because you’re like Brian Cox who refuses to watch any movie he’s ever been in, seeing as you’re the inspiration for Cartman.
Ugh god the Fat Tim Ryan thing is fucking stupid.
March 14th, 2013 at 1:40 PM
Never seen an episode of South Park. Not entirely sure why.
Too busy vacuuming crumbs from your fat rolls?

OT…i want this tie.
March 14th, 2013 at 1:42 PM
Winner.
March 14th, 2013 at 1:42 PM
OT…i want this tie.
I’m a fan of patterns like that. Not a fan of paisley.
March 14th, 2013 at 1:42 PM
I was introduced to MaGary when the kiddo was on the mend (Believe it or not I only read TVF and TBL…YES. People read TVF). I literally read every FunBag one day. It was funny, but I quickly noticed they’re funny because of the material submitted by the readers.
Fire MaGary.
March 14th, 2013 at 1:43 PM
That’s something an Ole Miss fratboy would wear while raping a black girl.
March 14th, 2013 at 1:44 PM
i like paisley fender strats/teles…but otherwise im right with you. tho i did meet with a client last week that had this AWESOME paisley tie that was accented with the same shade of blue as his shirt. looked really sharp.
March 14th, 2013 at 1:45 PM
I think all the stupid Bart T-shirts people wore all the time just annoyed me enough to avoid the show.
I’m pretty sure that’s why I never watched it growing up. It wasn’t like I was not allowed to. Got into it when the roommates watched reruns every night.
March 14th, 2013 at 1:45 PM

Someone prefers stripes.
March 14th, 2013 at 1:46 PM
Eh not really, I think stripes are boring, I just don’t like gingham. I probably have around fifty ties and I have a bunch of stripes but don’t wear them unless it’s an interview.
March 14th, 2013 at 1:47 PM
no way, he’d wear a blue and red striped one because they’re SEC sheeple, you see?
March 14th, 2013 at 1:47 PM
Spalding made the wing design, Crisler gave it the colors. MSU used a desing with a wing and one stripe down the middle, like that philadelphia alt a few years back
MSU

Well what is your preference then? I’m for simple patterns and for only a few colors on an individual tie. Stripes, checked patters, polka dots, all work for me.
March 14th, 2013 at 1:48 PM
Someone prefers stripes.
stripes are slimming, highly recommended
/Tim Ryan
March 14th, 2013 at 1:49 PM
i cant hate on that…i love gingham tho. struggle much more with shirt patterns.
March 14th, 2013 at 1:51 PM
Most of mine that I like are geometric patterns. Can’t find a good example in this season’s stuff but something like this. If I want something more simple it’s more like this. Mind you I don’t wear a tie to work.
March 14th, 2013 at 1:51 PM
Watching Spencer and Ms talk fashion is not something I was expecting today.
March 14th, 2013 at 1:52 PM

Interesting. That’s pretty much the opposite of what I go for. But it’s all about what fits in a person’s individual fashion. I’m not even wearing slacks today: polo and jeans.
March 14th, 2013 at 1:54 PM
Watching Spencer and Ms talk fashion is not something I was expecting today.
I’m pretty sure spencer and I could shoot the shit for at least an hour on just about any subject.
March 14th, 2013 at 1:54 PM
Wait, what’s happening here? I don’t even see jck in here
March 14th, 2013 at 1:55 PM
Michael Dukakis. GO
March 14th, 2013 at 1:55 PM
This is more of what I go for in ties.
March 14th, 2013 at 1:55 PM
Yeah seriously, I get the stuff from my mom because she gets it at cost and has a clothing allowance, that’s why I have so many, most of mine are Zegna and Ferragamo. I have this Zegna mock turtleneck that is the most comfortable piece of clothing I’ve ever worn.
March 14th, 2013 at 1:55 PM
Ohio and Texas should never talk fashion. Unless its hoodies and cowboy hats.
March 14th, 2013 at 1:56 PM
im loving getting dressed up for a job i actually give a shit about now. get to look PIMP. plus, looking great from the neck down helps me get more room for the beard and shaggy hair.
March 14th, 2013 at 1:56 PM
Michael Dukakis. GO
An excellent example of why you don’t nominate a northeastern liberal who is short and kind of silly in appearance.

It wasn’t a tank. It was a Bradley Fighting Vehicle.

March 14th, 2013 at 2:05 PM
I have two pair of woven drivers that are amazing, silk on the inside, only problem is the bottom wears out quickly so I alternate them.
I want these though.
And for my wedding, with an ivory suit, these bad boys.
March 14th, 2013 at 2:07 PM
my god…even a pimp would call those “a bit garish.”
March 14th, 2013 at 2:08 PM
How about these?
March 14th, 2013 at 2:09 PM
And for my wedding, with an ivory suit, these bad boys.
Are you getting married to a cowboy in Arizona?
March 14th, 2013 at 2:09 PM
Phenomenal. Buying them right now.

March 14th, 2013 at 2:19 PM
Yes.
The worst part is I couldn’t get that to open. I assume I am ruined. I’ll just pack up my unused comments and head on over to Bleacher Report.

Such an incredibly wrong opinion. Season eight is one of the best seasons.
March 14th, 2013 at 3:36 PM
Although I’d love to beat up on Pitt for years to come, those years have come to an end. Somebody tell him that it’s Maryland coming in, not Pitt.
March 14th, 2013 at 3:40 PM
Nevermind – my novice Big Ten knowledge misread Purdue as Pitt, and I missed the turtle.
March 14th, 2013 at 4:16 PM
OK that was like the first 2 seasons of the show, before it really hit its stride (seasons 3-8). Smartest thing they did was switching the main character from Bart to Homer.
